About Me

My photo
I'm a nerd at heart, but I think that planning is overrated and that spontaneity creates the best experiences. I can't make a decision to save my life and choosing my color of converses is about as serious as I can get on a day to day basis. And if I could eat ice cream for every meal, I would, minus my obsession with chai tea. Its a problem.

A Dash of Paris

October 17th
Today was my first time in le marais. Malina and I met up with Edouard, Etienne and Jerôme. We ended up going to the most unique bar ever. It was incredibly Indie and I loved every moment of it.
October 18th
After school Malina and I caught up with Etienne to go to the Louvre. We saw the same wing of the Louvre that I had seen on my previous visit, although I was able to add another room to my sightseeing. I love that after school I can casually go to the Louvre. It still blows my mind.

October 19th
This was a day of stress. After completing a ridiculous French 406 exam at six I had to rush to get ready for a balled at the Opera. Jackie and I got ready together and we had surprisingly packed a similar outfit. We looked super classy bringing our stuffed backpacks and our frazzled selves into one of the most beautiful buildings in Paris. What a disaster! The ballet was Piquita and it was my first ballet. It was amazing; the music was beautiful, the dancing was incredible and overall the entire experience was way beyond anything that I had ever seen at home. I hope that I will be able to attend another performance at l'opéra in my life.

(Even the ceiling is remarkable.)

(The girls. After this picture we were soon rushed out of the building.)

(Jackie and I not fitting in at all with the rest of the guests.)
